LEAFIELD sponsor Blaenau Gwent CBC Awards

LEAFIELD Environmental (Formally known as Linpac Environmental) have supported Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council by sponsoring two Special Recognition categories that form part of the Councils Environmental Awards to encourage good practice within the Borough.

The winner of the ‘Special Recognition Award for Schools’ was St Mary's Church in Wales Primary School, Brynmawr. They were selected for having made the most effort towards enhancing and protecting the environment in terms of Water Efficiency, Global Citizenship, Biodiversity, Recycling and Recycled Fashion.

The winner of the second ‘Special Recognition Award’ was Adam Street Allotments, Abertillery. They have planted an orchard, and improved access for vehicles and visitors with special needs or disability. Working Links and the Community Options Team are also involved and have successfully harvested their first crop this year, they also help plot holders and contribute to any ongoing projects.

LEAFIELD Environmental (Formally known as Linpac Environmental) is providing each of the winners with a bench manufactured using recycled plastic. Pictured making the presentation at the awards ceremony is Sales Manager Vince Wright.
